    • Day and Night at the same time

On April 8, 2024, the moon will pass between the sun and the earth causing a total solar eclipse that will pass from Mexico through the USA onto Canada. This will cause it to fell like night during the middle of the day for up to 4 minutes and 28 seconds!

    • The last Great American Eclipse for 20 Years

A total solar eclipse is a rare event, especially in a populated area. The US has been lucky enough to experience two in the last 7 years. The next one in the US after 2024, however, will not be for over 20 years in 2044! Make sure you catch this one while you can!

    • Strange things happen at the point of totality

During the point of maximum totality where the moon is fully covering the sun's harmful rays, you may notice some strange things happen. Some nocturnal animals may make an appearance thinking that it's really night and you may even see tiny bright crescents appear in shadows!
